This report presents the reader with facts on public internet access terminal business (PIAT) using real life experience of the author. Since
the last report update I have spoken to several other PIAT operators, confirmed that the biggest problem with this business is lack of knowledge and experience of people going into the business.
A number of business opportunity sellers offer PIAT products as a highly profitable opportunity. They encourage everybody who needs to make
extra money to jump into the opportunity.
Not all (or most) of such opportunities may not be that profitable in reality. Many PIAT problems can be uncovered by closer look at the
opportunity, research and by actually going into the business. The report provides a potential public internet access operator with valuable information uncovering real PIAT facts and helping avoid
many errors. The reader will be able to estimate the actual costs of going into business, risk of doing that, and knowledge he may need and. PIAT sellers
often omit a significant portion of the costs and risk. Many of them also have unethical selling tactic – such as lying about potential revenue, high-pressure selling, and not uncovering future
problems the potential operator may face. Such PIAT sellers mostly target audience without experience in this business or any other business. These people are more vulnerable to unrealistic promises.
